Juan Francisco Padilla

GUITARRIST

Distinguished during 2004 with the Golden Insignia of the most outstanding artistic personality of the year by the Andalusian Government (Spain), Juan Francisco Padilla was born in Almería in 1975.
He has performed as a soloist with many well-known orchestras and is regularly invited to the most prestigious international festivals and concert seasons, always obtaining great success from audiences and critics.
 
In October 2004 he recorded a CD of "The Four Seasons" (A. Vivaldi) with one of the most revolutionary violinists of today, Ara Malikian. In January 2011 he released "ARVUM", his first solo guitar album, positioning himself in the TOP SALES of classical music.
He is the creator and director of the first Web Portal about the genius from Almeria, Antonio de Torres. After almost twenty years sharing his work as a classical guitar soloist with the direction and performance of baroque instruments, Juan Francisco Padilla is a reference in the field of early music, being a regular contributor to the Youth Baroque Orchestra of Andalusia.
He currently maintains his concert activity as a guitar soloist and performer of lute and theorbo, making musical arrangements, soundtrack compositions and new projects such as the innovative "Barockeros", "Concert for Zapata and Orchestra" or "From Bach to RadioHead", whose video of the concert went viral and was viewed by over forty million people.
